while someone He made 5 years, in my part of the festival has become Daddy's door ....
important date this year, for which they were called together all the relatives from various parts of the Veneto have poured into the living room.
to feed 22 people, we organized a [ab] buffet, non-judging by the leftovers, it was very pleasing and finally the cake!
picture I made, but no decent, so I hope to make the idea into words.
I prepared pastiera (which do not 'just because the recipe if you buy the jar of wheat for the pastiera are already printed ...) and then, aided the molds in the shape of numbers kindly provided by his pastry chef, l' I cooked at home dell'Altrametà delcielo (which otherwise would have been surprised?).
but not having a tray large enough to contain the two numbers pastiera, I had to make do with cardboard. I made a folding of space to store it causes problems when you are finished using.

here's how:
- Get the carton veeery often: my is 4.5 mm, rigorously recovery: it is the medium on which wrap the cloth in length. with my savoir faire (read: straight face, that just today a colleague of mine pointed out - I hope as good as a gift to a certain extent ...) I have asked the owner of fabric store when I saw them piled to throw them away ;
- regulator for height / width: my tray was measuring 50x40 cm, then, as my 80x20 cm boards, I cut two pieces of 50x20, which I then combined with the lining fabric.
- the canvas: the market there is a washable cloth bookbinding , which gives it a bit 'look like a wax (so I guess that can be addressed with the latter) for the work of this cardboard texture a bit 'Plastic is not very refined, but this time, wanting to make an object that endures over time (at least until this summer, when they touch the door ... mom's!) was less than ideal.
- so on the paper side of the canvas, I scored the margin of 2 cm (not the usual 1.5 by the carton often) for only three sides (2 short and 1 long) of the first tablet; taking the tablet in question, I smeared glue one side and I prehnite on the canvas taking into account the references just paths.
- turned it all, I pressed on the canvas with a rag & pleat / back of a spoon to make it adhere well. then I turned around again, so you have faced, in order of appearance from left to right, the margin of 2 cm, cardboard, the rest of the canvas on the paper.
- now rests on the cardboard glued the other piece and apply adhesive thickness that look to the rest of the canvas (the side opposite to the two cm, in short). then I press it against the canvas and with the help I press the pleat all very well, passing and going over a bunch of times, until the canvas tends to detach itself.
- at which point you will be, in order of appearance from the top (what you see) on bass (the one that rests on the table): canvas not yet glued, bonded only on one tablet thickness, tablet thickness, which is pasted on the front .
- then gently lift the cloth not yet bonded, coated with glue to the front of the box, put on the canvas and press, rub, and wrap tightly around you.
- if you have time, and safety and to do things for their own good, you put everything under the weights for an hour, but otherwise go ahead with care. as if you were to open a book, lift the cardboard top, marked at the right margin of 2 cm and cut the excess fabric (the same above and below). cut edges and rolled up all around as I explained here .
there is a difficulty here: above and below the junction of the thick paper, a kink that goof up a bit 'the turning, however, if you hit well with the back of the nail, the thickness is reduced and the bump will be very subtle.
- now serving foil: Take the measurement you need (it took 2 pieces), taking care to leave about 5 mm all around the canvas (although not, but I liked it, it seemed decorative) and cut it. Then pass the glue sticks with plenty on the side of the foil (the dull side) and glued into place.
- at which point the tray would be over, but can not be used for transportation, because it bends in half and could not make an omelette. for which, with the cardboard advanced, prepared a series of strips (mine are 4 and measure 7x30 cm) to be available for wide along the hinge. rivestitene a facade and make its tuck the canvas.
- the reinforcements should be able to remove, otherwise you can not put away the tray. so I used velcro blue (buy at Lidl a few years ago) and I fixed the bostik. Dahn-tah!
for you if space is not a problem, then glue the blocks between two sheets of paper (or one from the Bristol Dorset) cut to the extent that you need. at this point that remains is to glue the canvas to roll up (maybe you 2.5 cm) and paste over the foil.
